Worship
is central to the life of St. Philip Presbyterian Church. You will
experience this the moment you walk into the sanctuary. Its high
ceilings draw you towards the front of this worship space, forward
to the cross that spans from floor to ceiling over a beautiful
mosaic of tiles.
Worship
at St. Philip can best be described as "a variety." It
is a variety anchored in a simple liturgy. Our liturgy is in the
Reformed tradition: we prepare to hear God's Word through confession,
forgiveness, and fellowship, we hear God's Word through Scripture
and sermon, and we respond to God's Word through offering and prayer.
We share in the Sacrament of Communion on the first Sunday of every
month, and we rejoice with each baptism as the opportunity arises.

While
we follow this structure, worship at St. Philip is a mix of the
formal and the informal. We are inclusive of children, and we invite
all children, especially those of kindergarten age and older, to
stay for the entire service. We have bags with activities available,
and there is also a "Time with Children" integrated into
the service.
Music
(read below for more information) is central to all parts of the
service, and vocal and instrumental choirs perform music ranging
from classical to contemporary.
