Mission Statement
The Child's Day In (CDI) Program is a non-profit community ministry of Christian Education at St. Philip Presbyterian Church. CDI is designed to provide a safe, loving and enriched environment that will promote the development of talents, skills, confidence and potential for learning in young children. As encouraged and supported by St. Philip Church, the CDI program seeks to provide a nurturing and educational opportunity where children and adults share in ministry, where families are strengthened and where children are respected as members of God's family.

Goals and Objectives of the CDI Program

*To nurture, respect and treasure each child for the special and unique person he/she is
*To provide a climate in which children can experience daily blessings and develop a self-concept based on trust in God and others
*To align Church and families into a significant partnership of nurturing
*To create a relaxed, safe and secure environment where the child is cared for, loved and accepted
*To provide opportunities for growth: spiritually, physically, emotionally, i-nentally and socially
*To help the child develop a good self-image, a sense of accomplishment and a feeling of worthiness
*To encourage the child to express him/her self creatively, while stimulating curiosity and a desire to explore
*To guide the child in making friends, sharng and respecting the rights of others
*To help each child develop positive attitudes about school and learning
*To help each child develop gross and fine motor skills
*To help each child become more self-reliant
*To provide learning centers to help children learn through discovery and play
*To provide an experienced -and well-trained staff for the education and care-giving of these children
