Both services on Sunday February 20th and each evening at 7:00pm, February 20, 21 and 22. Speaker for the 14th annual Duerr Lecture Series will be the Rev. Dr. Fairfax F. Fair, pastor of Highland Presbyterian Church, Louisville, KY. The title of the lectures will be “Is God Necessary? A Case for Christian Faith.”

Dr. Fair asks, is there room for belief in God in our ego-centric, secular world? Or, with our increasingly technological society, has belief in an unseen heavenly deity become an archaic idea, an example of obsolete thinking? Where is God (is God?) in a country where over one-third of 16-29 year olds are hostile to Christianity and two-thirds of adults say that being Christian is an important part of being “truly” American? These questions and more will be considered in the lectures February 20, 21 and 22. Dr. Fair will preach at both services on February 20, and present lectures each evening at 7:00 p.m.
