Dr. Kimberly Long and Michael Morgan to Lead 2011 Mo-Ranch Weekend

Dr. Kimberly Long, Associate Professor of Worship and Coordinator of Worship Resources for Congregations at Columbia Seminary will be our guest speaker at our Mo-Ranch Retreat June 9-12, 2011. She was ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in 1990 and is an accomplished musician. Mr. Michael Morgan, Seminary Musician and author of Psalter for Christian Worship will be our guest musician. Michael has been the organist at Atlanta’s historic Central Presbyterian Church for over thirty years. He is also an avid collector of English versions of the Bible, the New Testament and the Psalms. He will display part of his collection for the retreat.

Each June, members of St. Philip Presbyterian Church travel to the Texas Hill Country for a long weekend of Christian fellowship. In the beautiful surroundings of Mo-Ranch we have opportunities to study, to play, and to enjoy each other in a more relaxed way. Our program begins after supper on Thursday and continues through worship on Sunday morning. Many families arrive earlier on Thursday to get extra time in the rapids. Most of us find it difficult to leave on Sunday. Our goal is to house as many people as comfortably possible. There is a limited amount of space available at Mo-Ranch.
