St. Philip’s Mission Commission cordially invites all of the congregation’s members and friends as well as church members, mission committees, and church leaders from all of the Presbytery’s congregations to a conversation with Hunter Farrell, director of PC(USA) World Mission here at St. Philip on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 10:00 am to Noon.

 

Farrell will also preach at our worship services on Sunday, October 16, and speak at a congregational luncheon in Fellowship Hall following the 11:00 service.

 

In his presentation “Better Together: What does it mean to be a Presbyterian Engaged in Mission?” Farrell will discuss how changes in world mission have brought both opportunities and challenges. Through “communities of mission practice,” he says, “we Presbyterians, in order to truly make a difference, must coordinate our work with one another and with the church’s global partners.”
