We are excited to welcome Dr. Martha Moore-Keish as the 2011 Summer Lecturer.
The title of her lectures is “Baptism and the Lord’s Supper: Signs that Divide and Unite.” She will be preaching on Sunday, August 14 at both services. The lectures will be Sunday at 7:00 pm and Monday, August 15 at 7:00 pm in our sanctuary.
Dr. Moore-Keish received a Ph.D., Theological Studies, Graduate Division of Religion, Emory University in 2000. Currently she is Associate Professor of Theology at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, GA. In the past, she has been Assistant Professor of Liturgical Studies, Yale Divinity School and Yale Institute of Sacred Music, and Associate for Worship, Office of Theology and Worship, Presbyterian Church (USA), among others.
Publications include Christian Prayer for Today, Westminster John Knox Press, 2009; Do This in Remembrance of Me: A Ritual Approach to Reformed Eucharistic Theology, Eerdmans Publishing Company, 2008; Call to Worship: Liturgy, Music, Preaching, and the Arts (September 2009).
