St. Philip Campus Planning Update

Presented by: Rev. John Wurster, St. Philip Head Pastor

Pastor John will focus his presentation on the St. Philip campus planning process that has been conducted in recent months and was discussed with the congregation on November 23 and December 14. John will summarize the study commissioned by the Session and carried out by the architectural firm of English+Associates. He will also provide feedback on what we have learned from the two earlier conversations with members of the congregation.

The study considered the current use of spaces across the church campus, maintenance costs, looming capital expenditures, operational efficiency, environmental sustainability, and security. The architects have shared a very general design concept of an efficient campus plan that involves removing buildings that are past their useful lives and adding a new building that will provide better space for our ministry. The plan seeks to preserve green space and develop more convenient parking. Please come and help us consider how best to use our resources in service to Jesus Christ.

Adult Bible Study | Room 204

Bible study is an ongoing and thorough investigation of the multi-dimensional Word of God.  In this class, we also consider the insights of other translations and scholars to deepen  our understanding of God’s continuing message of faithfulness to God’s people.
