Summer Organ Series - Bryan Anderson plays Petr Eben's "Labyrinth of the World." - Sanctuary

Sunday, August 16, 2026, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Bryan Anderson and Dr. Louis Markos present “The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart,” a major work for organ and narrator. The text, a 17th-century allegory of life's pilgrimage by Jan Comenius, comes to life through illustrations from the organ composed by Petr Eben. Never before performed in Houston, it is a unique work situated at the intersection of literature, theater, music, and history.
